Vasiliki Kiparoglou

Vasiliki is Chief Executive Officer of The Griffin Institute for Surgical Training and Research and was previously Head of Operations at the National Institute for Health and Care Research Oxford Biomedical Research Centre.

She possesses a demonstrated history of working within the Research and Healthcare industry and is skilled in Strategy, Operational Management, Clinical Research, Healthcare Leadership, Governance, Lean Six Sigma, Business Finance and Accounting, and Health Economics.

Vasiliki has a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Nottingham and an Executive MBA from the University of Oxford Said Business School. She is also an Honorary Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at University College London.

Over the last 10 years, Vasiliki has been involved either as a Principal Investigator or co-lead in attracting research income of over £114m, co-authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications, and given several lectures and plenary speeches at prestigious meetings and events. She has also received a number of awards and scholarships, including the European Young Investigator Award.
